LIFE IS A MOVIE, PART 1

Imagine you’re in a darkened movie theatre, and on the screen you’re watching the story of your life. You’re engaged by the drama, the suspense, the tender moments, until all of a sudden, you have a moment of realization: For the last several hours, you forgot you were watching a movie! You were so hooked, so invested, that you were no longer aware of reality; you thought the movie was you!

Practice

Remember that you are not the events or happenings that occur in your life. You are something far greater than that. Everything will come and go in front of you, but you remain the same. Remembering that life is like a movie is the equivalent of maintaining awareness.
