A LIFE WELL LIVED

Death is a natural part of life from the Tao perspective. No human being has ever lived forever, so there can be no doubt that death will come for everyone sooner or later. The only real question, then, is about the life that was lived before reaching the end.

If someone came into this world, took up space and consumed resources, but contributed nothing and failed to leave the world a better space, then this person had wasted the wonderful gift of life. His death is therefore the tragic end of a tragic existence.

On the other hand, if someone came into this world, found his calling, completed his karmic obligations and filled his days with meaning and purpose, then his passing would be the satisfying conclusion of a life well lived. There is nothing tragic about such a life. Indeed, everything about it is worthy of celebration.

The Toa Today

Regardless of how well or poorly you have lived up until this moment, you always have the power to decide how things will proceed from this point on. A tragic waste of life or a life well lived - which will it be?
